HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION - C13-061411
On Tuesday, April 2, 2013 shortly after 4:00 p.m. Winnipeg Police Service members along with emergency services responders were dispatched to the 500 block of Langside Street for the report of gunshots.
Upon arrival officers located an adult male and female, both suffering from wounds consistent with having been shot with a firearm. Paramedics attended and transported both to the hospital in critical condition. The male has since succumbed to his injuries while the female is in stable condition.
The male victim has been identified as Nigel DIXON, 20 years of Winnipeg.

SEXUAL ASSAULT INVESTIGATION C13-60891
On Monday, April 1, 2013 at approximately 7:30 p.m. Winnipeg Police Service members were dispatched to the 700 block of William Avenue for the report of a sexual assault that had occurred earlier that day.
Officers met with an 18 year old female victim who advised that at approximately 1:00 a.m. she had been in the area of Flora Avenue and King Street when she met the male suspect. The victim was driven a short distance away after which the suspect proceeded to commit a serious sexual assault upon her.
The suspect is described as: Caucasian, 50-60 years of age, tall with a heavy build and grey hair and short grey beard.

SHOTS INVESTIGATION C13-061618
On Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at approximately 11:30 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to the 400 block of Pacific Avenue for the report of sounds of shots.
Attending officers located a residence with damage consistent with having come from a firearm. Several occupants were within the residence however no one was injured during the incident.
