Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Tuesday, April 16, 2013 COMMERCIAL ROBBERY ARREST – C13-069462 On Monday, April 15, 2013 at approximately 3:30 a.m. Winnipeg Police Service members were dispatched to a convenience store in the 2000 block of Pembina Highway for the report of a commercial robbery.   Attending officers met with the 37 year old male clerk who advised that an unknown male with his identity concealed had entered the store, claiming to be armed with a weapon though no was seen.  The male proceeded to steal an undisclosed amount of cigarettes.   The clerk was not injured during the incident.   Shortly after 10:00 a.m. the suspect was located in the 1800 block of Pembina Highway and taken into custody without incident.   Further investigation revealed that shortly before the robbery, the male had smashed a window belonging to a business in the 2500 block of Pembina Highway.   Chase Brian William CAMPBELL 18 years of Winnipeghas been detained in custody and is facing charges of: Robbery, Disguise with Intent, Mischief Under $5,000.00, Breach of Probation x 3 and Failure to comply with Sentence.   For further information contact either: Constable Jason Michalyshen, Public Information Officer Constable Eric Hofley, Public Information Officer Office: (204)986-3061 Fax: (204) 986-3267 Email: WPS-PIO@Winnipeg.ca   Web: www.winnipeg.ca/Police
