COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C10-271092
On November 27, 2010 at approximately 6:10 p.m., Uniform members were dispatched to a convenience store located in the 500 block of Sargent Avenue regarding a commercial robbery.
 
The investigation has revealed that two male suspects concealing their identity attended to the business and confronted a 35 year old female employee. One of the suspects was observed to be in possession of what appeared to be a gun at the time of the robbery. Cash and cigarettes were demanded and obtained.
 
The victim was not injured as a result of the incident and the suspects fled the area of foot.
 
The suspects are described as follows:
 
Suspect 1 – Male, Aboriginal in appearance, 18-20 years of age, thin build, 6'0" tall and short dark hair. In possession of what appeared to be a gun.
 
Suspect 2 - Male, Aboriginal in appearance, early 20's, large build and 5'8" tall.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding the incident or identity of the suspects is asked to contact investigators at 986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 786-TIPS (8477). 
 
 
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C10-271225
On November 27, 2010 at approximately 9:45 p.m., Officers responded to a commercial robbery at a gas bar in the 1800 block of Portage Avenue.
 
Attending members discovered that a lone male employee, 24 years was confronted by a male suspect concealing his identity. The suspect began removing cash and cigarettes from the kiosk. It was during this time a brief struggle occurred causing the suspect to flee the area. The employee sustained no injuries.
 
Officers recovered a portion of the stolen property nearby. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
 
The suspect is described as:
 
·        Male
·        Caucasian
·        17 years
·        5'6" tall
·        Shorty dirty blonde hair
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding the incident or identity of the suspect is asked to contact investigators at 986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 786-TIPS (8477).
