Firearm – Arrest (Officer Involved Shooting): C17-163174
On June 30, 2017, Winnipeg Police responded to a home invasion that had occurred in the 700 block of Beach Ave. A number of suspects had forcibly entered a home and assaulted the residents. A male in his 40's was assaulted and sustained non-life-threatening upper-body injuries.
   
On July 16, 2017, Winnipeg Police responded to a report of an assault that had occurred in the 500 block of Springfield Road. Both a 26-year-old male and a 27-year-old male received non-life-threatening upper-body injuries.
   
On July 22, 2017, a 20-year-old male was arrested in relation to these incidents.
   
Christopher RAUCH was charged with the following offences and detained in custody:
   - Break & Enter
   - Robbery x 5
   - Utter Threats x 4
   - Mischief Under $5,000
   
Peter Wilfred FLETT, 26, was also identified as a suspect in both incidents.
   
On July 24, 2017, at approximately 11:15 a.m., Winnipeg Police responded to a report of a robbery that had occurred in the 200 block of La Verendrye St. A male suspect pointed what was believed to be a firearm at residents of this location and demanded personal property. No one was injured during this incident.
   
A short time later a suspect was located in the 400 block of Archibald St. An officer-involved shooting occurred, and the male suspect was conveyed to hospital. Subsequent details are now part of an investigation undertaken by the Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba.
   
Peter Wilfred FLETT, 26, has now been charged with the following offences:
  Flight from Peace Officer
  Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle
  Drive While Disqualified
  Robbery with Firearm X 2
  Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose X 2
  Carry Concealed Weapon / Prohibited Device X 2
  Use Firearm During Commission of Offence
  Careless Use of Firearm
  Point Firearm X 4
  Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  Possession of Firearm knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  Unauthorized Possession of Firearm in Motor Vehicle
  Possess Firearm / Weapon Contrary to Order X 3
  W/A - Robbery, Assault with Weapon
   
Flett was detained in custody.
   
Utter Threats – Arrest: C17-211228
On September 20, 2017, at approximately 12:15 a.m., Winnipeg Police responded to the area of Portage Ave. and Garry St. for a report of a disturbance on a transit bus.
   
A transit operator and a transit supervisor attempted to wake an adult male who was sleeping. The suspect became aggressive and threatened both transit personnel.
   
General patrol officers arrived and determined that the suspect was bound by a recognizance that required he leave a Winnipeg Transit Bus if required to do so.
   
Tyrell Marquel CORNISH, 18, was charged with the following offences and detained in custody:
   - Utter Threats
   - Fail to Comply – Recognizance
   
Child Sexual Abuse Imagery – Arrest - R17-6443
As a result of a lengthy investigation, members of the Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) have arrested a male in a Child Pornography case.

Jeffery Douglas McBRIDE, 53, has been charged with:
   - Make Child Pornography
   - Possess Child Pornography
   - Distribute, Make Available Child Pornography

The case began in June, 2016 when the British Columbia Integrated Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit initiated an undercover online investigation. The results of the investigation were forwarded to the Winnipeg Police ICE Unit and on September 18, 2017 the suspect was arrested in the Charleswood area.
