Crime Prevention Tip

Construction! Construction! Construction!

Winnipeggers as you go on your commute must have noticed the construction signs everywhere. Here are a few tips to help keep both driver and construction workers safe:

·         In construction zones speed limits change, ensure you follow the posted speed limit and obey all other posted signage in that area. This will keep both the driver and construction workers safe, not to mention speed fine doubles in construction zones.

·         When setting out for your commute, you should also expect the unexpected. Traffic patterns can change daily and workers, equipment and work vehicles may unexpectedly enter your lane without warning: If this happens remain calm and avoid any risky driving. Always give yourself extra time during your commute.

·         Minimize distractions, such as cell phone use and always buckle up.

Construction workers are at work space and they deserve to go home to their families in one piece. DRIVE SAFE!!
