Homicide Investigation – C15-70993
On April 10, 2015, shortly before 6:30 a.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of Main Street and Pioneer Avenue for the report of an injured male.
 
An adult male, located within a bus shelter and suffering from an apparent assault, was transported to hospital in unstable condition.  His condition quickly deteriorated and he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
The victim has been identified as Myles MONIAS, 37 years of Winnipeg.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter or the identity of the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
Indecent Act Investigation – C15-72912
On the evening of April 12, 2015, the Winnipeg Police Service received the report of an Indecent Act.
 
Officers met with the complainant who advised that at approximately 4:45 p.m. that afternoon she and her ten-year-old daughter had been walking in the forested portion of the Living Prairie Museum located in the 2700 block of Ness Avenue.  As they walked along the path they came across an unknown male they had seen walking in the woods a short time earlier.  He was now performing an indecent act.  The complainant and her daughter immediately left the area and stopped two other females from entering the woods.  Police were then contacted.
 
The suspect is described as: Caucasian male, early 20's. 5'10" tall with a medium build.  He was wearing blue jeans, black (puffy) coat and black hat.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the West District Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding this incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-2877 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
