Saturday, April 18, 2015         Homicide Investigation C15-76860 On April 17, 2015 at 10:50 p.m., officers and other emergency personnel responded to the area of the 700 block of Selkirk Avenue for the report of a stabbing.   Patrol members located a male with serious injuries at which time first aid was provided until Paramedics arrived. An adult male victim was pronounced deceased a short time later.   Members of the Homicide Unit were notified and continue to investigate. Interviews are on-going and an autopsy is pending to confirm cause of death.   Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).     Sexual Assault Investigation C15-76715 On April 17, 2015 just after 6:30 p.m., a 20-year-old female was walking in the area of Notre Dame Avenue and Isabel Street when an unknown male walked passed her. The male made a brief comment and then suddenly grabbed the victim's arm and purse.   The victim attempted to break free, however the suspect became more aggressive and a serious sexual assault occurred.   A motorist observed the confrontation and began yelling out. The suspect fled and victim made her way home and contacted police.   The suspect is described as: East Indian in appearance, mid 30's, 6'00" tall, large build, full beard, wearing: a white base-ball cap with a red logo on front, a dirty/torn t-shirt and white cargo shorts.   The investigation is continuing by members of the Sex Crimes Unit.
