Sexual Assault Investigation – Arrest C14-112098
As a result of a lengthy investigation by members of the Winnipeg Police Service Child Abuse Unit, Ronald Walter PETERSON, 68 years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with the following offences due to his alleged involvement:
 
Sexual Assault x 5
Sexual Interference x 5
 
The investigation has revealed that between January 1998 and May 2014, PETERSON had contact with five male victims under 16 years of age while engaged in a professional capacity as well as socializing in a public setting.
 
PETERSON was arrested on November 13th, 2014 and released on a promise to appear.
 
 
Update - Homicide Investigation – C14-248705
As previously released -On November 21, 2014 at approximately 3:00 a.m., officers and other emergency personnel responded to a suite located in the 500 block of Victor Street regarding an injured female.
 
Beatrice Ann CRANE, 44 years-old of Winnipeg was located with serious injuries consistent with being stabbed and transported to hospital in critical condition. A short time later, while in hospital she was pronounced deceased.
 
Members of the Homicide Unit were notified and continue to investigate.
 
Interviews are on-going. No charges have been laid at this time.

Drug Investigation Arrests – C14-248144 C14-248496
As a result of members of the Street Crime Unit being involved in a drug investigation, Controlled Drug and Substance Act search warrants were obtained for residences located in the first 100 block of Garry Street and Nicholson Crescent.   
 
On November 20, 2014 at approximately 3:25 p.m., Street Crime Unit members with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team and the District 3 Community Support Unit executed a warrant on Garry Street.
 
Two occupants were located and arrested. A search of the residence revealed the following items:
 
678 ¼ gram rocks of crack cocaine - estimated street value $16,950.00
42.2 grams of crack cocaine – estimated street value of $4200.00
12 grams of Marihuana – estimate street value of $120.00
MDMA pills – estimated street value $40.00
$1920.00 Canadian Currency
Other drug related material
 
Joseph Arthur HENRIE, 35 years-old of Winnipeg and Cheryl Nicole MOORE, 21 years-old of Winnipeg have been charged with numerous drug related offences due to their alleged involvement. They were remanded into custody.
 
At approximately 9:25 p.m., officers executed a warrant on Nicholson Crescent. Two occupants were located inside and arrested. The following was seized by officers:
 
587 individual rocks of crack cocaine – estimated street value $11,340.00
$6970.00 Canadian currency
Other drug related material
 
Felix Garry THOMPSON, 25 years-old of Winnipeg and a 34 year-old female of Winnipeg have been charged and/or facing numerous drug related offences due to their alleged involvement.
 
THOMPSON was remanded into custody and the female was released on a promise to appear.
