Firearm/Search Warrant – Arrests: R17-45417
On July 27, 2017, at approximately 12:45 pm, Organized Crime Unit members executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a suite of a residence in the 500 block of Redwood Avenue.
   
The investigation has led to the seizure of an AR15 .223 calibre semi-automatic rifle and a black "Jolt Handy Prod" device capable of administering an electronic shock. 
   
Willy James Anderson, a 20-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
   
  - Possession of a Weapon (x2)
  - Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  - Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
  - Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
  - Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice (x3)
  - Warrant (Fail to Attend Court - Recognizance by Judge/Justice)
  - Warrant (Fail to Appear - Promise to Appear)
   
Lee James Boulette, a 35-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
   
  - Possession of a Weapon (x2)
  - Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  - Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
   
Preston Lee Wood, a 35-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
   
  - Possession of a Weapon (x2)
  - Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
  - Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  - Possession of a Prohibited Weapon Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  - Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order (x4)
   
They were detained in custody.
   
Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision - Arrest: C160169512
As previously released:
On August 15, 2016 at approximately 12:10 p.m., emergency personnel responded to the area of the 900 block of Jefferson Avenue regarding a serious collision involving a female pedestrian.
   
The investigation has determined that the pedestrian, identified as 58 year old, Sharon STRONG of Winnipeg was struck as she was walking in a parking lot by the driver of a Toyota Camry.
   
STRONG sustained critical injuries and was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the Camry has been identified as an adult female. 
   
Members of the Central Traffic Collision Investigation Unit continued to investigate the incident.
   
On July 31, 2017 a 70-year-old female from Winnipeg was arrested for Drive Careless Cause Death and released on an Appearance Notice.
