FRAUD INVESTIGATION – ARRESTS   C14-34548
During the past several months, four suspects had been involved in a crime spree where approximately 100 pieces of identification was stolen as a result of vehicle or home break-ins. The stolen identification consisted of passports, driver's licences, credit/debit cards and cheques.
 
The suspects made purchases utilizing the stolen identification at businesses within the city.
 
On February 16, 2014, at approximately 5:15 p.m., the suspects were observed occupying a stolen Honda Civic in the area of the 800 block of Ellice Avenue. Members of the Division 11 Community Support Unit conducted a traffic stop at which time the occupants were taken into custody. While doing so, a 22 year-old-male suspect fled from officers at which time Canine Unit members were deployed. The suspect was tracked with the assistance of Patrol members and members of the Tactical Support Team and taken into custody in the area of the 600 block of Burnell Street.
 
The investigation continued by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit.
 
Robert SAUER, 22 years-old, Christina HUDSON, 34 years-old, Delfin GARCIA, 45 years-old and Jamie NEILSON, 33 years-oldhave been charged with numerous offences due to their alleged involvement. Some of the charges include:
 
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x 67
Possess Identity Documents x 64
Possess Credit Card Data x 16
 
Officers also located and seized quantity of Methamphetamine.
 
They remain in custody.
