Monday, March 5, 2018 Sexual Assault – Investigation: C18-45732 On March 4, 2018, Winnipeg Police responded to a report of a sexual assault that had occurred between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. An 18-year-old female reports that she was walking in the area of Ellice Avenue and Home Street when she was approached by two unknown males who produced a weapon and robbed her of her purse. The victim ran after the males, following into a nearby lane where she was sexually assaulted by both males. The victim was treated in hospital and later released. Both suspects are described as Black males in their early 20's, with thin builds, and short black hair - shaved on the sides. This investigation is continuing by members of the Sex Crimes Unit.
