Declared Snow Route Parking Ban lifted

 

Declared Snow Route Parking Ban has been lifted Citizens encouraged to "Know Your Zone" during Residential Parking Ban beginning tonight at 7 p.m. A Residential Parking Ban has been declared and will be in effect starting this evening at 7 p.m. as crews shift focus to improving the condition of residential streets. The Declared Snow Route Parking Ban that was put into effect at 12 a.m. Monday, March 5 has now been lifted. Know Your Zone Citizens are urged to confirm their snow zone letter in order to determine when their residential street is scheduled for clearing. Visit knowyourzone.winnipeg.ca or download the Know Your Zone app for schedule and snow zone information. Citizens who park on the street are encouraged to make alternate parking arrangements during the 12-hour window their street is scheduled to be cleared. This will help the plowing operation run smoothly and will prevent you from being ticketed and towed. If you believe your vehicle may have been towed due to the Residential Parking Ban, please contact 311 for assistance in locating it. Think safety this winter - Stay Back, Stay Safe Approximately 400 pieces of heavy equipment will be used for this snow clearing operation so motorists are reminded to drive to winter road conditions at all times and to use extreme caution when driving near any plowing or sanding equipment.
