Public Advisory – Suspicious Black Van
Recently, the Winnipeg Police Service has been made aware of information being shared on social media regarding a poster offering help to youth and the homeless.

The poster is titled, "The Big Black Van Crew" and the content of the poster offers medical screening, clean needles, food and other unknown services.

At this time, no reports have been received confirming that these services are actually being offered by the occupant(s) of this van. Several reports on social media have indicated that a van matching the one on the poster has been seen on more than one occasion within the City of Winnipeg.

Based on information gathered to date, this matter appears to be a hoax. Despite this, the Winnipeg Police Service is requesting that citizens not approach or accept services being offered by person(s) associated to this particular van and/or poster.

If anyone has further information to provide regarding this van or the posters being circulated, please contact members of the Division 11 Crime Unit at 204-986-6668.
