SHOOTING INVESTIGATION – C13-123329
On June 24, 2013 at approximately 1:30 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of Sherbrook Street and Wolseley Avenue regarding the sound of shots.
 
At this time, it has been determined that a male was shot and is currently in critical condition.
 
Members of the Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation and officers remain in the area.
 
No further information will be provided at this time.

STRONG-ARM ROBBERY C13-121820
On June 22, 2013 at approximately 3:00 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of Machray Avenue and Parr Street regarding a robbery incident involving a gun.
 
Officers met with a 40 year-old male victim who had been confronted from behind by three male suspects on bikes. One of the suspects asked for a cigarette and then money.
 
It was at this time another suspect produced a gun and pointed it in the direction of the victim. The victim was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash however, he was not injured.
 
The suspects are described as:
 
1 – Male, Aboriginal in appearance, 5'9" tall, skinny build and approximately 15 years old.
 
2 - Male, Aboriginal in appearance, 5'9" tall, skinny build and approximately 17 years old.
 
3 – Male, Aboriginal in appearance, 5'5"-5'6" tall, skinny build and 15-16 years old.
