DRUG OFFENCE ARRESTS – R13-039531
For the past several weeks, members of the Winnipeg Police Service Division 11 Community Support Unit in conjunction with the Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods branch of Manitoba Justice have been involved in an on-going drug investigation.
 
As a result, on Wednesday, June 19 at approximately 11:00 p.m., with the assistance of general patrol members and the Tactical Support Team, a search warrant was executed at a residence located in the 200 block of Ellen Street.  As a result, a male within the residence was taken into custody without incident. Two others were arrested in a cab after a traffic stop was initiated.
 
A quantity of prescription drugs and other drug paraphernalia was seized.
 
Kenneth William BRADBURN, 49 years-old has been charged with: Possessing Substance for Purposes of Trafficking and Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking x 2 due to his alleged involvement.
 
Trent Michael KOSTIUK, 38 years-oldhas been charged with: Possessing Controlled Drug or Substance – Cocaine and Public Mischief due to his alleged involvement.
 
Tracy LAMOUREUX, 35 years-old has been charged with: Possessing Controlled Drug or Substance – Cocaine, Fail to Comply with Condition Recognizance x 2 and Breach of Probation x 2 due to her alleged involvement.
 
All three were detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
 
 
STRONG-ARM ROBBERY – ARRESTS C13-120014
On June 20, 2013 at approximately 12:30 a.m., Patrol members responded to the area of Redwood Avenue and Main Street regarding a robbery incident involving four suspects.
 
The investigation has revealed that three victims, 16, 18 and 19 years-old were walking in the area of Hespler Avenue and Beatrice Street when they were confronted by the suspects.
 
One of the suspects was armed with a knife at which time property was demanded. Fearing for their safety, the victims turned over some clothing and two cellular phones.
 
The suspects, including the victims fled the area.
 
Due to the efforts of officers involved, all four suspects including some of the stolen property was recovered near Redwood Avenue and Main Street.
 
Members of the East District Crime Unit continued with the investigation.
 
A 14 year-old-male, 16 year-old-female, 17 year-old-male and 19 year-old female are facing numerous charges including Robbery with a Weapon.
 
The three youth were detained and the adult was released on a Promise to Appear.
