FIREARM DISCHARGE – ARREST C13-122606
On June 23, 2013, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Uniform Patrol, Tactical Support Team (TST) and Canine Unit members responded to a residence located in the 400 block of Armstrong Avenue regarding the sound of a shot fired in the area.
 
It has been determined that two males attended to a residence resulting in a confrontation involving an occupant. As a result, the occupant produced a gun and discharged it in the direction of one of the males. No one was injured.
 
The males fled the area on foot and the occupant retreated back into the residence.
 
Police resources secured the area and safely removed a male and female from the residence. The victims were later located by police.
 
An adult male is facing several firearm related offences.  
 
Members of the District 3 Crime Unit are continuing with the investigation.
 
 
ROBBERY WITH A WEAPON - INVESTIGATION C13-122410
On June 22, 2013, at approximately 9:40 p.m., officers responded to the area of the first 100 block of Hargrave Street regarding a robbery incident that just occurred, involving a 30 year old male victim.
 
Officers determined that the victim had been contacted by an unknown male selling a cellular device. The victim agreed to purchase the device and a meeting was arranged.
 
Upon making contact, the unknown male produced a knife and demanded money. The victim attempted to flee, however was pursued by the suspect. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the incident and was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the District 3 Crime Unit.
