New Opportunities for Engagement with the City of Winnipeg

Budget 2018 Consultations
Let's Build the Budget Together. Please provide your input for the 2018 budget development process.

There are multiple opportunities to provide input, including, an online survey, online budgeting tool, online idea forum, and pop-up events located throughout the City.

The dates, locations, and times of the pop-up events are as follows:

Public invited to provide feedback on pedestrian and cycling project connecting Wolseley and West Alexander

Do you walk or bike in the Wolseley and West End neighbourhoods? The City wants to hear from you to help shape plans for a Walk Bike project connecting the Wolseley and West Alexander neighbourhoods.

Participate online
Public input is a key component of all Walk Bike projects. Join the conversation online by taking photos of your experience walking and biking in this neighbourhood using #WalkBikeWPG. Thank you to all who attended the open houses on April 4th and 5th. Approximately 100 people attended the open houses and approximately 50 surveys were collected.

If you were unable to attend the open houses, we encourage you to view our open house boards and provide your comments through our online survey. The online survey will remain open until Thursday, April 13, 2017.

Empress Street and Overpass Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Study Open House

An online survey on the Empress Street and Overpass reconstruction and rehabilitation is collecting your feedback until April 21st.

Winnipeggers were invited to view preliminary design plans for significant improvements to roads and infrastructure surrounding CF Polo Park Shopping Centre at an open house on April 5th at the centre court of the mall. Roughly 220 people stopped to view the concept drawing and discuss the plan with city staff and the project team. A total of 26 exit surveys were completed.

Grant Park Recreation Campus Plan & Feasibility Study Open House

Thank you to all who attended the Grant Park Recreation Campus Plan & Feasibility Study open house on Thursday, April 6. Approximately 150 people attended the open house, and 70 exit surveys were collected.

If you were unable to attend the open house, we encourage you to view our open house boards and provide your comments through our online survey. The online survey will remain open until Saturday, April 22. Alternatively, you may pick up and fill out a feedback sheet at the River Heights Library or the Pan Am Pool during this time.

Transcona Cemetery Improvement Strategy Survey

Winnipeggers are invited to participate in developing an improvement strategy for the Transcona Cemetery.

The City of Winnipeg is currently looking at developing a strategy for improving the Transcona Cemetery in consultation with the public and stakeholders to ensure the cemetery continues to meet the needs of the community. A draft plan will be developed for improvements to the grounds, and will include a plan to return the chapel to use.

The public's first opportunity to provide input is through an online survey on the Transcona Cemetery Improvement Strategy website: winnipeg.ca/cemeteryimprovement. The survey will be open until April 28, 2017.
