Serious Motor Vehicle Collision: C16-192687
On September 15, 2016 at approximately 11:45 a.m. emergency personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian and a semi-trailer. The victim, an adult male, was transported to hospital in critical condition.

The incident occurred in the east-bound lanes of Sterling Lyon Parkway east of Kenaston Boulevard. These lanes will be closed to traffic for several hours as officers conduct their investigation.

Investigators are requesting that anyone who may have been traveling in the area of this location at approximately 11:40 a.m. who may have been a witness, to contact the Central Traffic Division at 204-986- 6271.

This incident involved a pedestrian walking on the curb, very close to traffic and coming into contact with a semi-tractor.  It is possible that the driver of the truck may be unaware of this contact with the pedestrian, and we ask any semi-truck drivers who were operating in that area to contact Police.
