Additional consultation on implementation of the Corydon-Osborne Area Plan

The public is invited to a workshop on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 regarding the implementation of the Corydon-Osborne Area Plan. The Plan was adopted by City Council in 2014 and is a vision to guide future growth and change in the area in accordance with OurWinnipeg, the City's long range development plan. The Plan also outlines the City's commitments and priorities over next 20 years for land use, transportation, services and parks and open space in the area.

This workshop has been planned to review the feedback received at the March 9, 2016 open house and to discuss new options regarding the proposed rezonings. The meeting will begin with an overview presentation by City staff followed by a facilitated discussion.

The workshop takes place:

When: Tuesday, June 21, 2016
Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Earl Grey Community Centre, 360 Cockburn Street

Previously Announced Opportunities for Engagement with the City of Winnipeg

North Winnipeg Antenna System Project Public Information Session

The City of Winnipeg must remove an existing antenna system, used by a number of City departments, located at the North End Water Pollution Control Centre (2230 Main Street), before the end of the year to accommodate the future expansion of the North End Water Pollution Control Centre scheduled to begin in 2017.

To ensure there are no gaps in coverage, a proposed antenna system must be built in the vicinity of the existing antenna system by the end of 2016, and prior to its decommissioning. A proposed, lower, 120 metre tall antenna system will be constructed, pending Industry Canada approval of the City's proposal.

Nearby City-owned property at the south east corner of Murray Avenue and Ferrier Street is being proposed as the location for the installation of the proposed antenna system.

Any member of the public or organization who wishes to provide questions, comments or concerns in writing must do so by June 26, 2016.
