Sexual Assault - C15-182116
On August 30th, 2015 the Winnipeg Police Service received a report of a sexual assault that had occurred at approximately 8:40 a.m. in the 100 block of Pembina Highway.
Police learned that a woman was waiting for a bus when a male approached her and attempted to strike up a conversation. The male asked if she wanted to go for a ride in his vehicle, which she declined. He then inappropriately grabbed the woman, returned to his vehicle, and left the area. The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.
The suspect is described as: Caucasian male, approximately 6'1"-6'3" tall, 180-200 pounds, with light brown hair and a beard, with a dark tattoo on his upper right arm.

Sexual Assault - C15-0184965
On September 2nd, 2015 at approximately 11:30 p.m., police responded to the report of a sexual assault that had just occurred on Furby Street.
A woman was walking northbound on Furby Street when a male passed her on a black, small framed, mountain bike. He stopped approximately 20 feet in front of her and began looking at his phone. As she walked past the male he followed, attempting to start up a conversation. When she entered an apartment building the male followed her inside and touched her inappropriately. The woman began banging on the door of a nearby suite, at which point the male fled.
The male suspect is described as: black, early 20's, approximately 5' 5" in height, medium build with short dark hair.

Theft from Mailboxes – C15-166726
Recently, members of the Division 11 Crime Unit have been investigating multiple reports of mailbox break-ins at various addresses in the downtown area. They include:
-400 block of Maryland Street
-1st 100 block of Cornish Avenue
-100 block of Young Street
-100 block of Balmoral Street
-300 block of Kennedy Street
-400 block of Kennedy Street
-1st 100 block of Carlton Street
-100 block of Donald Street
-100 block of Smith Street
-200 block of Portage Avenue
-300 block of Broadway
In each incident, a male is able to gain access to the vestibule area where he proceeds to pry open the mailboxes and steal the mail from within. Damage is estimated to be in excess of $11,000.00.
Investigators are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the person of interest pictured below.
Fentanyl Overdoses - C150184923
On September 2nd, 2015, at approximately 10:30 p.m. police were made aware of two drug overdoses which had occurred in the East Kildonan area.
The investigation revealed that two people knowingly ingested Fentanyl. A short time later, a male collapsed, and a female contacted 911, who then also collapsed.
In the course of their investigation officers determined that another male was also present and had ingested fentanyl. Officers went to check on his wellbeing and confirmed that he needed medical assistance. He was then transported to hospital.
All three individuals in this case are expected to recover; however, the Winnipeg Police Service would once again like to remind the public about the dangers of illicit drugs.
