New Opportunities for Engagement with the City of Winnipeg

Bark for your Park – Downtown Dog Park Open House

The City of Winnipeg is exploring options for the creation of a downtown off-leash dog park and we want to hear from you.

You're invited to an open house on February 24, 2016 to get an update on the project, see results from the online survey conducted in January, and provide feedback on possible locations for the dog park and potential features.

A neighbourhood dog park in downtown Winnipeg will help build stronger community ties by fostering social meet-ups for dogs and people. It will also be an amenity that will encourage downtown living and help make dog ownership in the downtown more accessible.

Date:        Wednesday, February 24, 2016

Time:        4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Location:   Carol Shields Auditorium, second floor of Millennium Library, 251 Donald Street

Walk Bike Projects

The results from the initial phase of public engagement for the Walk Bike Projects, as well a list of frequently asked questions and responses, are now available through the website City of Winnipeg – Walk Bike Projects

The initial public engagement activities were held from September 2015 to November 2015 and focused on creating opportunities for the public and stakeholders to provide input and feedback on existing conditions and potential future improvements for pedestrian and cycling facilities in the study area.

Thank you to all of you who have participated in the conversation so far.

The next phase of public engagement will present design options for your feedback and ways to get involved will be announced shortly.
