Robbery Investigation Arrests – C15-235943
On November 8, 2015 at approximately 9:30 p.m., three individuals were confronted by a group of males as they exited a building in the area of the 100 block of Jarvis Avenue.
   
One of the suspects produced a gun while demanding a 23-year-old male victim to surrender his property. The two other victims observed the confrontation and attempted to intervene. It was at this time the armed suspect threatened all of victims further.
   
The suspects then set upon one of the victims, a 28-year-old male and began viciously assaulting him to the point of unconsciousness. The victim was then robbed of cash and other personal property.  
   
The suspects encountered another male in the same area who had attended to assist the previous victims. The 43–year-old male was attacked by the suspects and seriously assaulted in the upper body.
   
Emergency Services was notified and the 43-year-old victim was transported to hospital due to his extensive injuries.
   
Sometime after 11:00 p.m., two suspects were located and arrested nearby. The investigation continued by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
   
Christopher Lee CHUBB, 27-years-old,has been charged with the following due to his alleged involvement:
   
Armed Robbery using a Restricted Firearm or Prohibited Firearm x 2
Possession of a Weapon x 4
Uttering Threats x 2
Assault
Aggravated Assault
Pointing a Firearm x 2
Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 3
   
Matthew Harold WOODHOUSE, 19-years-old,has been charged with the following due to his alleged involvement:
   
Armed Robbery using a Restricted Firearm or Prohibited Firearm x 2
Possession of a Weapon x 4
Uttering Threats x 2
Assault
Aggravated Assault
Pointing a Firearm x 2
Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 2
   
Both males were remanded into custody.
