Winnipeggers are talking about priorities and preferences for City services and spending

City of Winnipeg - Public Engagement News

Welcome to Let's Talk Building A Stronger Winnipeg Together

Let's Talk - Building a stronger Winnipeg togetherIt's been a busy first week of conversation for #letstalkwpg! Winnipeggers are talking about priorities and preferences for City services and spending.

  • We're hearing about transit, improved transportation infrastructure, reducing transit fares, and improving service.
  • We're hearing about growing smarter, reducing congestion, stopping city sprawl and making downtown more vibrant and beautiful.
  • We're hearing about reducing homelessness, supporting every Winnipegger to achieve their potential, and support for improved accessibility.
  • We're hearing about recreation, leisure activities, parks and greenspaces.
  • We're hearing about involving citizens in meaningful consultation, making good decisions, and improving consultation processes.

In our first week more than 600 Winnipeggers participated in the Let's Talk conversation, and 150 people participated in the All Your Ideas Forum adding more than 100 new ideas about what investments in services and programs the City should make. Countless more tweeted and posted pics on Instagram.

Tell your friends, colleagues and neighbours. And #letstalkwpg!
