Monday, December 17, 2012 COMMERCIAL BREAK & ENTER, OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING – C12-253529 On Monday, December 17, 2012 at approximately 2:30 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to the 400 block of Pandora Avenue regarding the report of a Commercial Break & Enter in progress. Several units converged on the area and with the assistance of the Canine Unit the suspect was tracked to the 800 block of Kernaghan Avenue. A confrontation occurred between the suspect and arresting officers at which time an officer discharged his firearm. There were no injuries as a result of the confrontation and the male suspect was taken into custody without further incident. The investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
