Monday, December 10, 2012   MISSING PERSON – JOHN (David) COLE C12-248502 The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in locating a 66 year old male, John COLE. COLE was last seen at approximately 3:00 p.m. on December 9th, 2012 in the area of South River Heights in Winnipeg, Manitoba.   COLE is described as: Caucasian, brown/grey hair, slim build, 5'11" tall and brown eyes. Cole walks with a limp and was last seen wearing a black and orange toque, black jacket and a green sweater.      The Winnipeg Police Service is concerned for COLE'S well-being.   Anyone with information regarding COLE'S whereabouts is asked to contact the Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 204 986-6250.       FESTIVE SEASON CHECKSTOP PROGRAM - WEEK #1 RESULTS The Winnipeg Police Service Central Traffic Unit has provided the results from the first week of the Festive Season Check Stop Program.    767 - Vehicles were stopped 7 - Approved Screening Device (ASD) tests were administered 3 - 24 hour suspensions were issued (ASD Warns) 11 - Drive Impaired/Over/Refusal Charges 34 - Traffic related Provincial Offence Notices (PON) were issued 5 - Suspended drivers 1 - Warrant was executed 1 - Person was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act (IPDA)    For further information contact either: Constable Jason Michalyshen, Public Information Officer Constable Eric Hofley, Public Information Officer Office: (204)986-3061 Fax: (204) 986-3267 Email: WPS-PIO@Winnipeg.ca   Web: www.winnipeg.ca/Police
