Wednesday, June 11, 2014   Sexual Assault Arrest – C14-114971 On June 3, 2014 the Winnipeg Police Service received the report of a sexual assault that had occurred the previous day.   Officers met with the 14 year old victim who advised that she had been walking in the area of Talbot Avenue and Watt Street when she was approached by an unknown male, known only to her as 'Nick'.  After a brief conversation the two attended to the suspect's residence in the 300 block of Harbison Avenue.  While there the suspect committed two serious sexual assaults upon the victim.   The victim was able to flee the residence and notify a parent who in turn contacted police.   Members of the Sex Crimes Unit continued with the investigation and as a result a suspect was identified.  On June 4 he was located and arrested without incident.   Nicholas Raymond SERBYNIUK 28 years of Winnipeg has been charged with multiple offences for his alleged involvement.   He was detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.     Sexual Assaults Investigation – C14-120835 On June 10, 2014 the Winnipeg Police Service received the report of 3 sexual assaults that occurred in the East District.  They include: Approximately 9:00 a.m. in the area of Munroe Avenue and Besant Street.  A 14 year old female advised that she had been approached by an unknown male on a bike.  The male inappropriately touched the victim and was scared off by a witness. Approximately 11:30 a.m. in the area of Roch Street and Sydney Avenue.  A 17 year old female was walking when an unknown male on a bike rode by and inappropriately touched her. Approximately 2:00 p.m. in the area of Manhattan Avenue and Grey Street.  A 21 year old female was walking when an unknown male on a bike attempted to strike up a conversation and then touched her in an inappropriate manner.
